Vendor Portal: Frequently Asked Questions

Last updated: July 27, 2026

Introduction

You may be asked to complete a security or compliance assessment through the Lema vendor portal. This page answers the most common questions vendors have about accessing the portal and submitting responses.

FAQs

Question: I received an invite but haven't been able to log in - what should I do?

Answer: You'll receive a one-time access code by email each time you log in. If it doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder first. If you still don't see it, try requesting the code again from the login page. If access issues continue, contact the company that invited you to confirm the email address on file is correct - most access problems trace back to a mismatched or mistyped email.

Question: I entered my responses, but the page doesn't look like it saved them. Do I need to resubmit?

Answer: In most cases your answers are saved even if the page doesn't visually confirm it right away. Refresh the page and check whether your response is still there before resubmitting. If it's genuinely missing after a refresh, contact the company that invited you so they can check on their end.

Question: I was asked to assess more than one vendor and I'm not sure which one this specific request is for.

Answer: Check the subject line of the invitation email and the header bar at the top of the portal, which reads "Third-party review for [Company Name]" - naming the company that requested the assessment.

Question: What happens after I submit my responses?

Answer: Your responses are automatically reviewed by Lema and used to re-evaluate the relevant risk controls for the company that invited you. If anything needs clarification, the company you're working with will follow up directly.

Important Notes

On access issues: Most login problems are caused by an incorrect email address on file with the company that invited you, not a portal outage. If a code repeatedly doesn't arrive, that's the first thing to check.

On "unsaved" answers: A response that looks unsaved visually is usually still recorded. Refreshing before resubmitting avoids duplicate entries.
